Opponent: Johnny Walker (23-10 MMA, 9-7 UFC)

Key wins: Derrick Lewis, Shamil Gaziev, Ante Delija, Serghei Spivac, Ryan Spann, Robelis Despaigne, Andrei Arlovski, Lukasz Brzeski, Chase Sherman

Misc.: For the first time in his career, Cortes-Acosta is working off back-to-back losses. The 35-year-old Dominican ex-baseball standout saw his three-fight winning streak against Delija, Gaziev and Blaydes – all stoppages, including two bonuses – go out the window with consecutive decision setbacks against Alexander Volkov and Curtis Blaydes, both earlier this year. WCA has been super active again this year – Walker will be his fourth fight in 2026 after five bouts in 2025.

Johnny Walker def. Mick Parkin, UFC 332 Record: 23-10 MMA, 9-7 UFC

Opponent: Waldo Cortes Acosta (17-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC)

Key wins: Mick Parkin, Anthony Smith, Paul Craig, Ion Cutelaba, Ryan Spann, Misha Cirkunov, Khalil Rountree Jr.

Misc.: After years at light heavyweight, a division in which he was a regular source of entertainment, the 34-year-old Brazilian decided to stop cutting weight and move to the big man division. In his divisional debut against Parkin at UFC 332 just a month ago, he landed a first-round knee that netted him an extra $100,000.

Opponent: Tatiana Suarez (12-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC)

Key wins: Tabatha Ricci, Yan Xiaonan, Amanda Lemos, Loopy Godinez, Marina Rodriguez, Angela Hill, Felice Herrig, Mizuki Inoue

Misc.: It's been a year since Jandiroba had her shot at UFC gold in a vacant title fight against Mackenzie Dern at UFC 321. Dern won a unanimous decision to claim the 115-pound strap, and Jandiroba went back to the drawing board to start a new chase after her fellow Brazilian. That started in April with a decision win over Ricci. Beating recent title challenger Suarez could give Jandiroba reason to seek a rematch with the champ.

Tatiana Suarez, UFC 327 Record: 12-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC

Opponent: Virna Jandiroba (23-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC)

Key wins: Loopy Godinez, Amanda Lemos, Jessica Andrade, Montana De La Rosa, Nina Lemos, Carla Esparza, Alexa Grasso, Viviane Pereira

Misc.: Despite a layoff of more than 3.5 years, Suarez returned in 2023 with her perfect 8-0 record and submitted De La Rosa and ex-champ Andrade in back-to-back fights. After another long layoff, she got a shot at the title against then-champ Zhang Weili in early 2025. She went the distance, but lost a decision. Since then, her bounce-back of two straight wins includes an April submission of Godinez. A win over Jandiroba would have her almost certainly asking for a shot at champ Mackenzie Dern.
